SVM2 has high sensitivity (resolution) and can even detect a charge of 1 volt anywhere in the entire range of +29,999 to -29,999 volts. Thus, even if the increase or decrease is small, it is easy to measure whether a given process increases or decreases the static electricity present. The meter reads the actual static signal, but it also captures and stores high positive and high negative signals experienced since the last time the "reset" button was pressed. These peaks + and - can be displayed at any later time. The peak feature has a "window" time of 0.005 seconds (much faster than the display speed), so even very fast peaks can be captured and stored. There's also a user-configurable alarm. If the signal (either + or -) exceeds the user-set value by at least 0, an alarm will sound. 005 seconds. The alarm can be reset or muted at any time.
